Environmental control unit designed to handle extreme climatic ranges, from -31 C to +50 C(-24 F to +122 F)
For a defense contractor that produces rugged computer workstations used in portable avionic applications, Air Innovations designed, tested, prototyped and now manufactures an environmental control unit (ECU) to maintain stable supply conditions to the client's system. These workstations are exposed to extreme temperature and humidity ranges during deployment in harsh outdoor conditions around the world; our ECU conditions those extremes to a consistent air quality, ensuring proper performance of the workstation. Our system was designed according to various mil-spec requirements, its packaging was restricted to the most stringent of weight and size limitations and the system was subjected to - and successfully passed - repeated drop testing.

AI's ECU was designed to meet compact packaging and stringent mil spec transport requirements, including eight drops from 30" onto concrete, with the ECU required to run and meet performance specifications after each drop.
